Refurbishment of the Pavilion Fundraiser

As I am sure you are aware the school has some fantastic facilities. These have been enhanced recently with a significant extension to the sixth form study area, as well as the resurfacing of the all-weather pitch over the summer. These developments came on top of the refurbishment of the lower school office area as well as recent developments in Science and the new gym which opened in 2016. Next week sees the installation of a new library facility which will be a massive improvement on our previous facility.

Despite these improvements, a school like this is never finished and we are always looking to update and improve what we have. We were recently successful in a bid for funds to improve the pavilion from Sport England. However, despite the fact that we have been awarded £30,000, we are still some way short of the money that we need. We are hopeful that the grant from Sport England will be added to by the school’s Trustees and the school itself has some funds to contribute. However, we are also looking to raise some funds from current and former parents, as well as former pupils.

The link to the crowdfunding page we have created is below. We would be delighted if you feel you can contribute and any amount would be gratefully received. Equally if you don’t feel able to contribute but can share this link as widely as possible we would be very grateful.

I appreciate that some parents will feel that this is something that the school should be undertaking itself and in many respects I agree. However, the current funding position that all schools find themselves in means that we need to be a little more creative and request contributions where we can.
